  • Artist’s Statement

    Betty’s early rural life in the district of Maranoa influences her renderings of Australian eucalypts and native flora. Her memories of the colours of the landscape combined with vibrant underpainting with oils creates a unique style. Betty also enjoys representing the flowers growing in her Toowoomba garden

  • Biography

    Born In Miles, Queensland, Betty has lived and practised throughout various parts of Queensland. Using Oils as her favoured medium, her inspiration for her Australian landscapes and floral art is the natural environment she encounters in her daily life and travels. She held successful solo exhibitions at Wild Canary, Brisbane in 2015 and 2016. Betty has been awarded prizes in many regional art awards including Hugh Sawrey and the Darcy Doyle Art awards.
