Artist’s Statement
The soft blue-grey distance and colours of the Australian landscape and atmosphere challenge me to create artwork that conveys Australia’s unique light. A land of extreme contrasts, I also aspire to share its harsh colourful beauty and it's history. I enjoy creating works that show space and distance. My work is traditional in style using oil on board or canvas. I also enjoy creating florals and beach scenes in pastel, and working with graphite or pen to create detailed works.
