Artist’s Statement
So drawn to glass and fire.
So challenging and rewarding .
My fascination of experiencing the fluidity of various glasses, metals and natural materials spurs me on to create custom jewellery that everyone can enjoy.
My aim is to make unique, colourful beads and jewellery to suit a wide variety of individual taste. No two pieces are exactly the same. Such is the beauty of glass.Biography
I am a maker of unique Italian Moretti glass beads and jewellery incorporating Sterling Silver, 14KTGF, gold and silver leaf, natural materials, and semi-precious stones.
With a B.A University of Toronto (Sociology/Anthropology), M Ed McGill University (Special Education Learning Disability), Bond University (TESOL) and Ministry of Education (Supervisor Certificate in Visual Arts) , my favourite subject was and is, art in all its forms, past and present.
As a Visual Arts teacher in Toronto from 1983 to 1986, my focus was to encourage teenage students to experiment as they felt their personal creative skills evolving, but most of all, to enjoy the process of making something of their own.Influences
Mother Nature and Paul MUNCK, extraordinary designer and maker in numerous media.
