Ann Fogarty is a self- taught Painter discovering the practice of Art in 2009 under a Lifeline Art Program in Warwick however funding was pulled after a year or so even though it was a successful program. Ann then ventured to the Warwick Art Group which hosted her first Exhibition and where she enjoys portraiture class at present. Last year Ann made the leap to Toowoomba joining the Toowoomba Art Society where she attends Charles Boyle classes when possible
She has enjoyed another 2 solo exhibitions in Warwick one being at the Warwick Hotel, her latest exhibit was June 2017 at the Warwick Art Gallery in a collaborative Exhibition named ANCORS.
A student of Downlands -88-89 she enjoyed choreographing and performing in the Musical and Liturgical Productions.. A student of the Speech and Drama class under John Clarke’s tutelage was most memorable.
As a student of Dance, she was exposed to live Ballet Performances and Art Exhibitions in Toowoomba and Brisbane from an early age. Studying Dance in Brisbane she performed at the Queensland Art Gallery, a highlight as her love of Art and Dance were combined.
An expressionist Painter Ann enjoys acrylic, mixed media and experimenting with a variety of mediums. Her preferred medium at present is brown string and squeeze bottles.
Ann is positive about her future as a Painter.
